There's a new version of imlib (1.0.5)? in Debian unstable which
mysteriously manages to break further without breaking the evas demo.
#0 0x402377c9 in __imlib_MergeUpdate () from /usr/lib/libImlib2.so.1
#1 0x40231237 in imlib_updates_merge_for_rendering ()
from /usr/lib/libImlib2.so.1
#2 0x40036a11 in evas_render_updates () from /usr/lib/libevas.so.0
#3 0x400353ee in evas_render () from /usr/lib/libevas.so.0
#4 0x0804aaa9 in main (argc=1, argv=0xbffffcb4) at further.c:225
#5 0x402dc65f in __libc_start_main () from /lib/libc.so.6
Feh.
And I intend to respond to the other questions here, but I'm working on
a bunch of other stuff right now (setting up a new computer, which is
how I discovered the imlib snafu).
